TERRALAB

About the Practice

A nature-based pathway for clarity, resilience and self-leadership in a time of acceleration.

Terralab is a nature-based practice for people who carry responsibility — founders, leaders and professionals who need clarity, resilience and a deeper form of grounding in a time of acceleration.

The person behind the practice

A practice shaped through leadership, nature and inner work

I have spent my adult life working at the intersection of two separate worlds.

The first is the world of organisations and impact. For nearly three decades I have worked with founders, investors and institutions on the question of what makes change genuine and lasting. The pattern I kept observing was that the leaders who build something lasting share the following qualities: a strong direction and sense of purpose, clarity about who they are, the capacity to meet uncertainty without losing their ground, and the ability to remain connected to their values under sustained pressure.

My other world is rooted in a set of personal practices from what is mostly taking place out of sight. For thirty years — beginning in Southern Africa working alongside traditional healers, deepening through years in Latin America among indigenous communities — I have worked with plant medicines and how these, in combination with nature, can assist in profound personal development. Now these practices have been rooted in the Nordic landscape and in ongoing dialogue with neuroscience research on consciousness and the creation of lasting change.

Terralab brings together the world of business and innovation with ancient practices for profound personal exploration and self-development, with the aim of creating a solid inner ground for a sustainable outer leadership practice.

The practice model

Mind, Body and Nature

Terralab works in the cross section between the mind, body and nature, where the body and the natural environment acts a catalysts for changing the mindset, and where new insight are sustained over time, grounded in the full human system.

01

Mind

Patterns, assumptions and self-perception. The mind constructs its own reality — and those constructions can be examined, loosened and reshaped.

02

Body

Somatic awareness and nervous system regulation. The body is an active source of intelligence and the primary site where dysregulation either blocks or enables genuine change.

03

Nature

Direct engagement with the natural environment as mirror, stabiliser and teacher. Nature shifts perception and creates conditions for insight that thinking alone cannot generate.

Context

Why this kind of practice matters now

We live in a time of increasing speed, complexity and constant demand on our attention. Much of our experience is shaped by continuous information flows, screens and external stimuli — leaving little space for reflection, grounding or deeper connection.

As a result, many people are becoming disconnected from themselves, from each other and from the natural world — often accompanied by rising levels of stress, vulnerability and inner friction.

At the same time, qualities such as self-awareness, integrity and resilience are in high demand — yet rarely developed in a deliberate or embodied way.

Terralab is not positioned as an escape from this reality, but as a way to meet it with strength — by rebuilding the inner conditions from which clarity, direction, agency and meaningful action emerge.
